Jason

€440.00

An iconic 1950s Jason chair designed by Carl Jacobs for Kandya. This lightweight, stackable, chair has gently tapering splayed wooden legs that is typical of Danish design from the period. The seat and back of the chair are folded from a single sheet of flexible plywood that wraps around the chair and joins below the seat. In 1952 three hundred were installed in the South Bank Restaurant on the site of the Festival of Britain, in conjunction with the V&A museum. This is an early all-wood version. A true design classic now seen most frequently in design books.
